  • Straight Punch Defence - Deflect & Counter

    • Semi passive stance
    • Deflect using nearest hand close to attackers wrist
    • Combine hand and body defence
    • Move out of the channel and counter as soon as possible
    • Once threat over scan for other threats

  • Circular Punch/Strike Defence - Short Distance

    • Semi passive stance
    • Use arm closest to the threat to cover head and the main KO points on that side of your head
    • Absorb strike throughout your body
    • Move out of the channel and counter as soon as possible

  • Circular Punch Defence - Medium Short Distance

    • Semi passive stance
    • Block using nearest hand close to attackers wrist
    • Combine hand and body defence
    • Move out of the channel and counter as soon as possible

    • Block using both hands
    • Use outside of your forearm and palm of your hand
    • Combine hand and body defence by pivoting inside the strike radius

    • Semi passive stance
    • Block using both hands on attackers wrist and forearm
    • Combine hand and body defence by pivoting inside the strike radius
    • Counter as soon as possible and move out the channel

  • Elbow Defence

    • Semi passive stance
    • Use outer forearm and palm to block the elbow
    • Using either hand to pull arm down
    • Counter using hand and legs
    • Create space
    • Scan for second attacker

  • Straight Right Offline Cross Punch Defence - Same Hand

    • Semi passive stance
    • Redirect using nearest forearm close to attackers wrist as possible
    • Combine hand and body defence
    • Counter as soon as possible moving out of the channel
    • Once threat over scan for other threats

  • Straight Right Cross Punch Defence - Simultaneous

    • Semi passive stance
    • Deflect using nearest hand close to attackers wrist – at same time step out of the channel and strike with other hand
    • Continue to counter create space away from attacker

    • Semi passive stance
    • Using 90 degree outside leg defence block kick
    • Try to keep toes upwards
    • Stabilise and counter with same hand
    • Continue to counter

    • Get into Ground Fight Stand asap
    • Using forearm and body defence to redirect the kick away
